Beauty Lies

Life is like a dark black rose,
It has thorns of sin, but still it grows.
Then beauty lies upon the earth,
And we can't measure what it's worth.

People take things for granted,
And sometimes we just can't stand it.
For life is such stress and sorrow,
We just can't bear to face tomorrow.

Beauty lies beneath your wings,
And all we do is praise and sing.
But thorns of sin infest the ground,
And sorrow spreads all around.

Love is crazy and love is blind,
But that's where the beauty lies.
Having faith and trust in God above,
We will find what is love.
