because of my skin

Walking down the street is so hard
Can’t go a day without being stoped by a cop car
Because of my skin
There are knees on our neck
Until we take our last breath
Yelling for a drink
But it’s out of our reach
Screaming “ I can’t breath”
But no one cares
Not safe in our homes
But all anyone does is pull out there phones
I hear this “ All lives matter”
How can that be
Black people have to give the talk
Not the talk about the birds and the bees
More like “do what the officer says so you can come back to me”
How can “All lives matter”
If black lives don’t
