Befriended Lover

Seasons come and seasons go;
The trappings of which aren't always known;
Friends versus lovers the signals can cross;
Intrusions and fusions, I got myself lost;
The heart it can hurt in a special way;
Blinding the truth can go on for days;
No harm intended, just lust to be soothed;
I get it now - onward must move.

The tears they drip, my own fault not yours;
Time will heal, I look for a cure;
The dark and crying I cannot endure;
While I look to get lucky feeling so unsure;

My body is broken I look for relief;
An occasional smile will help stall my grief;
Only invited will more contact come;
I won't violate your privacy - NONE.
