Befriending the Hangman

Jailed in Alcatraz bay,
my body, a cage anyway.
Welcome to the soul,
mission control.

A criminal lives,
murder on my lips written in blood.
I’ll befriend the hangman,
Then we’ll see who's gonna join the chain gang.

Ask me why I did it.
Ask me why I was found in my home
with two dead sapiens
and me holding the bloody knife.
I refer you to the many sex affairs of my dead wife.

So I’m stuck in limbo at the disco,
time of my life with the other psychos

I am a good son
but not God's.
Life is a Broadway show,
