Beginning Trials

December of 2011, he had given me something from heaven.
Every night of the new year he made sure I cried new tears.
After my sons birth more ugly crossed our path.
My own sisters jealousy fueled her wrath.
She wanted to throw me down those cold cement stairs.
I looked to his two-week-old face, and felt my heart tear.
Now none of that matters, as we are blessed with today.
For our future brings strength, wisdom, and success paving the way.
