Behind the Face of Fear

Behind the beauty that you see, is a woman who longs to be free.
Free from feelings of fear, loneliness and despair,
because the feelings are too much to bare.
Racing thoughts and a restless mind,
is what lurks behind this beautiful face of mine.
You become a prisoner of your own mind,
and realize that you lost so much time.
I've missed out on so much in life.
Will I ever get the chance to be somebody's wife?
Are you karma, my friend or foe?
What are you trying to teach me, I want to know.
Your grip is so strong and I'm trying to break free.
I know I'll do it eventually.
Because behind the beauty that you see,
is a woman who longs to be free.

I have severe anxiety, panic attacks, depression and agoraphobia
and I wrote this last night
