Behind These Doors

You'll never know, you'll never see
The emptiness inside of me
For if you knew all that I hold
Deep beneath, right near my soul
It just might keep you up at night
And that, my friend, would not be right
For who's to blame and who's to suffer
The space between remains a buffer
All I am and all I know
Is, simply put, for me alone
And who knows who that benefits
Me keeping me behind closed lips
All I know is if you knew
The one who suffered would now be you
