Being a Monarch

If I were a queen
In a land far away,
What would I be like?
What role would I play?
I could be a fearsome warrior
Mighty dragons I would slay
Or maybe a devout priestess,
To my deity I would pray...

If I were a queen
And I had to make a choice,
Would I hide behind my throne,
Or finally use my voice?

If I were a queen,
And there was something I had to do,
My decision would be life or death,
And not a soul in my kingdom knew.

As the ruling monarch,
My subjects would pay for my every mistake.
So it's good that the kingdom isn't real,
And my brief reign as queen was fake.
