Being Crucified

Things we go through, we thought that we had it bad
But what he done for us, was pleasant but sad
He died for us, took away all our sins
He hung on the cross, and died at the end
He gave us a way, that we have to understand
Because what he did, is stretched out his hand
He blessed us all, he blessed us all
He said he'll always be there, whenever we call
He's here in the spirit, not in human form
Because when he was on this earth, his body was torn
Was hung in the air, while everyone stared
Body wounded, but no one cared
He hung on the cross, with nails in hands and feet
He showed his rib cage, because he was cut so deep
He had to suffer, go through all that pain
But he told us to have faith, still, when we call out his name
He was resurrected, raised on the third day
People who saw him, they saw him the same way
Yes they were afraid, and their souls cried
But deep in their hearts, they knew that Jesus had been crucified
