Being Locked Down

Being Lockdown
by Letia Bogan
We knew 2020 was unique,
The days are turning into weeks, and months,
These warnings are coming from government with social distancing,
And the world was sitting there listening.

Today, I am thankful for having family,
But it is not just me, it is all of us internationally,
Another reason for gratitude is having technology,
and having scientists who studied biology.

And the people who right now work hardest of all,
Are the National Health Services who stand up tall.
This is for all the people who have lost their jobs in this pandemic,
And all those people who are diabetic,
And those working as paramedics,
This is for all the people suffering from COVID-19,
This is for those with bad hygiene’s,
This is to make you realize,
That we should be thankful for those who we miss the most in this time of love.
