Beloved Fall

The air is crisp and cool
The leaves crunch beneath the sole of my sneakers
I glance around and notice
the red, orange, and yellow
of the trees which surround me
they are a sort of guard
a shelter perhaps
from all in the world that saddens
these leaves, these trees, this air
they all caress my senses
sight: my eyes, they see
the colors so vivid
sound: my ears, they hear
the crunch of the dry earth
smell: my nose, takes in
the sweet aroma of maple
taste: my tongue, savors
the flavor of the air
touch: my fingers, they feel
the rough bark and branches
worries fall, joy fills my heart
at last, the long awaited change is here
dear autumn

This Poems Story

One of my favorite seasons is Autumn. The green vegetation wears the costume of yellows, reds, and orange hues. It makes me stop and reflect upon the beauty of it all.
