Benue Killings
Rev. Fr. Joseph Gor and others
Born in a season of rejoice
Into an embracing world
Whose end is orgy.
Yes, welcomed by education
With a rising hope
Hope so natural
Yet so cruel.
An enclave - the religious
A pious life indeed
But at the awkward
The terrorists visited.
The so - called herdsmen
You and I know
Are not herdsmen
But privileged terrorists.
The powers are silent
But the truth is open
Our God does not sleep
He is the Almighty.
Born in a season of rejoice
Into an embracing world
Whose end is orgy.
Yes, welcomed by education
With a rising hope
Hope so natural
Yet so cruel.
An enclave - the religious
A pious life indeed
But at the awkward
The terrorists visited.
The so - called herdsmen
You and I know
Are not herdsmen
But privileged terrorists.
The powers are silent
But the truth is open
Our God does not sleep
He is the Almighty.
