Best Things in Life Are Free

If the best things in life were free
We'd all be happy naked and cold as can be
Is it a snowflake that makes a smile last?
And if we were hungry, would we have a blast?

A rodent, a snake, for those things are free
Many worst things in life just happen to be

Maybe the notion of love is what's meant
But when in love, is no money spent?
Would it be fun to grow our own food?
Yeah, that would sure put me in a great mood

Or maybe it's the family that brings many blessings
After daycare expenses, what's left has me guessing

If truth be told, what's best in my life
Some diamonds, some pearls
Then yes, I'll be your wife
