Betrayal

Betrayal means so much,
You are there for others,
But when you need them,
They disappear like ghosts.
Fade into the night time,
No reason for their betrayal,
You beg for some help,
But they're gone like the wind.
You reach out with your hand,
Hoping someone will grab it,
Save you from drowning,
But you slip under the water.
Maybe that's where you belong,
Where it's peaceful and quiet,
Gone from their lives,
So you're no bother to them all.
Yes life can betray us,
Making this trip so hard,
But it's never that easy,
Betrayal is so many things.
