Between The Lines

Childhood was simple
No strings were attached
Dreams spanned across the universe
And back
A million-fold
The possibilities were endless
We were given wings
With them we flew
Simplicity was a God-given gift
We held all the keys
Those vivid imaginations
"No need for socks
Peel off your shoes
Mud is nothing less than
The Holy Grail"
Innocence filled our brains
Painted the clear blue skies
With equality
Did everything go astray?
There is no more black and white
No more right from wrong
