Beyond the Lake

Keep on rowing, keep on rowing,
You need to get to where you're going,
Let no one stop you from your quest,
Never pausing to take a rest,
You are truly and lovingly blessed;
I do not lie and I do not jest,
Even if it takes a million hours,
You need to make it to the towers
that lay beyond the treacherous lake,
You cannot stop or take a break,
Your arms and back will no doubt ache,
but you must endure and stay awake,
for the prize beyond is the crown of life;
to obtain it one must suffer much strife
and trials of all various kinds,
whose sole purpose is to refine
the chosen warriors of the One,
who did not choose to spare His Son,
So you must be brave and make Him proud,
and one day reach the Immortal Clouds,
Keep on rowing, keep on rowing,
You need to get to where you're going
