Beyond Trice

If I could say what would I
A thought not heard in another's mind
Irrelevant yet meaningful
Truthful where it lie

Without the stain of time or the emptiness of sorrow
We wouldn't know love,
We cannot forgive what is lost
While still a leaf on the vine

As a lawyer for our thoughts
We argue rules set by the mind
Always a plea with the present moment
Past or future preferred time

Gone now is the illusion of self
Only silence undefined
Alas kindness fully rescued
From the memory of the mind

The hand that guides the heart
Is often filled with fear
while beyond the script as written
The moment disappears
