Beyond

Souls hollow out places for children
Beyond sadness.
Safe, warm places where no wind can blow,
Where fires glow,
And abandonment will never know
Where to find them.
Angels stay there all the time
Shoulder to shoulder in a line
And read them childhood stories.
There is tea, sweet and creamy
And cookies, truly dreamy
To soothe the aches and pains
And empty places in their hearts.
To let them know-
Heaven is not so far away
And everything will be okay
And every angel hopes
That when the child grows up
They won't forget
When life is tough
To still believe in love,
And places in the soul
Where that little child can never grow old.
