Bittersweet

Resentment alone is left with the remembrance of our existence
Cursed are the cutting memories of your sweet lips against mine
How can forever end in such a short period of time?
Painful is the penalty to know a love so pure
Once a beautiful thing
Now punishing, with an unpleasant sting
Mocked is the song it sings
I'm reaching for your reach, yet you have your hands full
Seeking, you seek while your eyes are closed
Who says it's better to love and lose than never to love at all?
Teased by the unsatisfying time taken
It is better to never love than know love and waste it
Why couldn't we appreciate it?
Bruised by the knowledge of your warm embrace
Poisonous is the bittersweet taste
