Bittersweet

Bittersweet

Goodbye she uttered passing a wall of sweet memories
He gazed into nothing
A look of disbelief on his pasty white complexion
Was this the descent of such a longstanding love affair?
He fell upon his unfortunate reality
She was awakening, awakening from what seemed a heavy slumber
Upon her cheeks she felt the warmth of the sun setting into her future
With pitiful eyes she observed his spirit weakening
Surrendering shall only prolong your bliss
Tears shall surrender in time
Hearts broken pieces shall mend
Bittersweet emotions shall come to their end
They shall discover the secret path, invisible to the eye
A journey awaits our goodbye.
