Black And Red

The pages are stained
Black and Red.
They spread out
Upon her bed.
The Black is there
From the ink;
He wrote down words
She could not speak.
He would beat her
If he heard,
That she uttered
A single word.
A fight broke out;
It was the last.
And she watched over
As he passed.
That broken girl
Is no longer dead,
Because she stained
The pages Red.
