Black and White

Never seen my world in gray. Always black and white.
Thinking one or another. My thoughts and actions, extreme.
A passion, horribly bright.
It effects my dreams and my day and night.
One or the other with everything, flipping like a dime.
The glass is either full or empty, never half way.
Try as I might. The world works in a different shade.
But most of the time it's out of my sight.
I'm color blind, when it comes to my life.
Can't see the signs. My own pace but never enough for other strides.
Love, hate sad and happy. A hot knife.
My brain is my own bane. Enemy of the mind.
I'm going insane. Or I'm already there.
Wouldn't that be nice. Middle ground has never been my thing.
I guess opposite ends of each spectrum is perfectly fine.
