Black And White World

There is no other color in a
Black and white world,
Just shades and shadows
Dancing together.

They hide imperfections,
Obscure emotions shinning in our eyes,
Leaving us to lust for
Multicolored vibrance,
Providing a perfect disguise.

Our hearts don't recognise
Each other's colors.
We are left with no choice,
In vain we wonder.

We long for a little glimpse
Of green grass, red and yellow flowers.
Blue of the skies in the day,
Purple, pink, orange and dark blue
Merging together to create a night's hue.

But there is no other color
In a world dominated by black and white.
Only those blessed are able to see
Beyond the shades and shadows of
Pure blankness.

This Poems Story

This is a \"what if\" poem about the world being only black and white. What if there were no other colors, no blue, green, red, yellow, etc. Just us being able to see only in black and white, like in those old movies.
