Black Death

“A bloodless killer roams the streets”
“Thousands of towns overran”
Warn faces behind the window
“Run while you still can”
Bodies fall beneath its path
Towns covered all in black
Black clothes, black skies, black world, Black Death
The world under attack
The commanding general stops
At his next victim's home
A cozy, red brick house lights all on
A young girl all alone
A mother that will never come
Father dead in the stacks
Of broken bodies sheathed in black
People who won't come back
A girl who watched family die
Who saw blood, who saw war
In her eyes tragedy behold
This young girl only four
Death, a sinister figure knocks
As the door opens wide
The girl confused as nothing's there
The shadow sneaks inside
