Black Eyes

Black eyes for the dark skies
I blend in with the dark night
Why they always trippin', it's just melanin
We all have red blood, we all sin

We've all fallen short of His glory
So cut the crap, stop the story
Bury all your pre-conceived notions
There's more magic in our skin than in potions

Cause God made us resilient
How many times we been pushed back?
A million
Still He made us resilient
How many times we don' got up?
A trillion

Black eyes for the dark skies
Blendin' in with the dark night
Enemies think we've been smitten
But for protection, we've been hidden
