Black Girl Magic

By

We must not forget about black girls.
We scream stop killing our black boys,
And forget the black girl next to him
For every bullet shot finds its way into a black girl’s heart
We forget that our girls aren’t bulletpoof vests either
That they bleed more red then black too
We must not forget that we are not objects
Confide to the box, u fit us in we were made to stand out
We must not allow our black girls to be hidden in the shadows of our boys
We must not forget that in the eye of a cop
Girl ? Or boy ? Isn’t seen but our blackness is
We must not forget that our black girls are magic also
And they are doing tricks to make us disappear
We must not forget that hidden in the shadows is how we get caught, raped, shot, killed
We must never forget that while we are yelling stop killing our black boys
They are killing our black girls too.
