Black or White

Black or white is not just a color we see,
It's the way the world views you and me,
So inappropriately,
Leaving no hope to be, the gray in between or anything else.
So you place me on a shelf,
Left alone, all by myself,
And yet, my color does not define me,
Though it may astonish thee,
I am more than the color you see,
Once bound but now I'm free,
The blood inside is red indeed,
And if you prick me, I will bleed, won't be,
Black or White..
