Blank TV

The blood in my veins is constricted
Like eyes without anything to see
No gray area in this life of black and white
Yet my heart continues to beat
I seek answers and pray prayers that only God can understand
I gave Him my soul so He could wash it clean
I wake up just for my eyes to see darkness
And day dream to see the beauty in the eves
Demons cast shadows darker than my nightmares
God lights a path brighter than my dreams
There was a time that I was so broke
I forgot what I felt like to have money in my jeans
I hibernate in caves and wake up telling stories
Stories that could melt your mind and turn your heart to dust
Didn't you hear? Everybody knows
A "could've been" legend is a bust
Trust few, love all
Be swift, save lives
Be loud, be proud
Listen close, comfort cries
Sometimes it feels like the stars shine brighter than the sun
And the moon is nowhere to be found
But I'll forever and always spread my wings
And forget the feeling of my feet on the ground
