Bleeding Heart

Her heart is bleeding
From her chest
She left her heart along with the rest
Her eyes cry tears
But her chest cries pain
Tiny blood droplets dropping like rain
Not external but really internal pain
Nothing really seemed to change
Everything shattered just like glass
They caused her to bleed because of the memories of her past
Her only escape was just to breathe
Heart torn in two
Not a single help
But inside she sadly yelped
Broken glass stuck in the middle
Causing her chest to bleed
So don't even try
Even with a protecting lie
This girl will always be broken

This Poems Story

This past year was very hard for me. Many different things occurred. My poem was inspired by the sadness that that year brought. The poem is about when your heart is in so much pain that you actually think it is bleeding.
