I was never good at memorizing words,
especially those with no importance.
I was in French class when you helped me memorize the phrase,
along with forty other terms.
Asking to study after school,
of course I obliged.
You stayed with me throughout the night,
And after that you hadn't left my mind.
When you stayed it wasn't a mystery,
Even if people didn't recognize your presence I knew,
You were always there for me.
Of course all things are taken too far.
When I'd stop at 70 pounds I found a purpose to its meaning.
Before I committed suicide it was the last thing on my mind,
I finally praised the way you hurt me.
And did just the same to those pills,
Just the way we talked about.
