Blind

If I was blind then this world wouldn't bother me

Watching young men fighting

Couldn't get to me

I would hear the injustice but wouldn't see the indecency

The careless act of inhumanity would fall right off me

My shoulders would be light since the weight of viewing poverty

Wouldn't reach me

Oh to be blind

Not to see love leave me

Or age decease me
