Blind Love

I was blinded by love, it's true,
I couldn't see the real you.
When you look at someone through rose-colored lenses,
Red flags just look like flags.
I loved you with all my heart
But you broke me and tore us apart.

My mind fights a war,
Battling over to keep you or throw you off the throne.
I will never forgive you for the damage done
Not even when my battle is won.
One day you will realize what you’ve lost,
And at what cost?

I have no regrets, I've learned my lesson,
I still have hope there is someone out there
Who will show me their love and care,
Who will treat me accordingly and true,
Unlike you.
