Blinded by your bright
Dumbstruck by your smile
Am I the only one who
Should I still be going the
extra mile

Your words washed over
me like a cool stream
The darkness you put
over my heart
Caged me in your dream
Put me where my heart
refuses to start

The wind screams as you
push me down
And I see the truth
I stand in triumph as I
take your crown
As I regain my youth

I loved you
And sometimes I wished
you loved me too

This Poems Story

I wrote this poem in a car on the way to Georgia. It was a school assignment that I wrote about someone who used to mean a lot to me.
