Blood Clots

He grinned at me with teeth so white -
Elegantly dressed to my heart's delight.
Stars in his eyes he did bow down,
With skulls laden in his crown.
He swept me up in his arms for the dance -
Held me close, gave me no chance.
Mesmerized, I followed suit.
He was polite, no sort of brute.
Spinning "" cosmic rainbows flowing past -
He promised me that it would last.
Darkness kissed me, stole my breath,
As I slow-danced close with Death.
Drowning in his eyes so blue;
I saw a future meant for one, not two.
I wrestled free, ran far from Him -
Broke through the light I held within.
I ran until I was off the floor -
I wish to dance with Him no more.
