Bloodbath
The never-ending blizzard that occupies my heart
has my blood running cold when I wake with a start.
The memories of their suffering and deaths,
blinding me with the memories of their bloodbath.
I stay strong so I don't break,
but I've realized the I ache.
Far too much to not be broken
by the intolerable pain that has gone unspoken.

I personally don't have a relatable memory or insecurity as shown in this poem, but I wished to express it as best of my ability as someone who has observed such heartache. This poem is about staying strong for too long to realize you need to let out your feelings. To let someone know you're in pain and relieve yourself of a burden no one should have to deal with.
