Blooming Blizzard

Why are waves calmest after they crash--
Surfing the sand like sweeping butter?
Their offerings meant only for toes,
How delicate the ways your hair blows.

So much for leftovers, you pour plenty
Of seeds in my burning, heavy bosom.
It's only lavender in the rainbow...
Some things, softer than snow.
