Blue Dream

Drifting off, falling into darkness. Then body twitching, jerked back awake.

Reliving every mistake ever made. Wishing, hoping these thoughts would just go away.

Holding on, looking for something to grasp, cause I know I always vere off the beating path.

YEP! Here I am again. Walked into a lions den. Looking for any hope lost my way. Will I make it out again?

I pray,

Lord, the water has frozen again. Evil surrounds me in a perfect ring, of this familiar blue dream.

Cold black eyes and I'm the target. Faith is all there is to hold.

Ears open, mouth shut, mask on over thinking. Running through every possible way to make the logical decision.

Scanning the room for any familiar sign of reality. Praying a sign that says everything will be alright.

Looking down, drowning in darkness I look up once more. A curtain was removed and fell to the floor.

What was exposed was a beautiful site. A huge cross lite up the night.

Words were spoke that only God could know. Circle unlocks, evil ring unfolds.
Watch as enemies flee one by one.
Prayer was answered. His job was done.
