Blue Roses

Written At The Brandywine & Wilmington Cemetery

Channel your words right through me.
I am so dead today, I cannot speak.
You are the only being that I wish to be around.
Here I am now, at your sacred ground.
Junebug, how have you been?
You will forever be my angel, my friend;
The most wonderful, beautiful guardian.
Surely you were, one hell of a woman.

I've brought to you more roses.
Yet again, I've made it to your grave.
I've come to fade away this troubling day.
Let me sense the words you would say.
Shield me again in the calm of your embrace ...
because oh, your ghost ... how it does save.
