Bluegrass Valley keeps calling me,
back to my sweet home in Kentucky.
It's memory clear shall always be,
as I live on through eternity.
I wish I could find, memories so dear.
Send me back to her sweet love there.
For it's my heaven on earth never to stray.
Lord lead me back before I die someday!
Where fields are gold and ponds are deep blue.
It's God's paradise in every view.
The angel clouds stroll above the hills,
and star spirits talk in night wind chills!
I remember when I left her there.
Her soft kisses and locks of auburn hair.
The smell of flowers lingered in the air.
Nothing else in my mind will ever compare!
