Book of Deception

Book of Deception
He reached out to me,
Behind his wall of deceit,
He thought I was vulnerable,
Easy to cheat,
Wanted to pull me,
Into his smoke and mirrors,
I saw right through,
His deception and trickery,
As you can see,
He could not,
Bait me or hook me,
On his pole of craftiness,
His web of lies,
Was no surprise,
He reached out to me,
I untangled myself,
From his deception and fraud,
He was a mystery a chapter,
I did not want to read,
So I put down his book,
Of smooth talk and misleading duplicity,
Walking away never to read it again.
