Bound in Time

We ask in favor, those who time has damned,
The fevered souls who search with heedless cries,
For that which has long since been caught in hand,
But be wary, for ruthless time speaks lies.
Weave your dead dreams, and long for future days,
But know that time will not stand still for you,
It passes by in the most cruel of ways,
Robbing sound reason and all we once knew.
Our hearts long with boundless endurance,
For another ending to this story,
But all we must do in this occurence,
Is go out with profound dying glory.
Forever is not to be sought or staved,
For it is the gift that time never gave.
