Boycotting Apples to Protest Ora

Boycotting Apples to Protest Oranges????

Today was the first time I'd said
The Pledge of Allegiance

in a bathroom stall.
It's considered cool

by some not to say it anywhere,
but I stop and pledge

my allegiance to my country
wherever I am.

If students learn nothing else
from me, I hope they learn

what’s really cool
is to love their birthland,

not segregation and hate promoted
by self-interest groups that seek

to enrich and empower themselves,
who lead young people down victimization paths

and dead end streets. We are all Americans
and we show love for country

by saying The Pledge of Allegiance
and singing The National Anthem.

There is no getting around that!
