Boyfriends Are Baths

You were a bath and
I was scared to sink,
Yet slowly i sank
Further and deeper
Until wrapped with warmth
From piping waters

Submerged in obsession,
Sweet steam seduced my mind
Into a frenzy for you
- fool! -

Oh how i longed to lay
But as i wished to stay,
You yanked the plug

I pined to cling to those mercy waters,
But they brushed by my body
And were sorted by the drain of despair.
My pruned and printed skin
Has dried and healed with time,
Safe until cleaned again
