Branch to Branch
My heart, my being longed for her
The women I asked
Where is she now
You have the best guess
Nor in near or distant sight does she reside
Only within as a memory of pure light
But I am here
Through all my misery I survived
There wasn’t a moment
When I thought I’d rather be alive
Agony made fellow
Because I’ve known no other
My attention fixed on her
Not like hers, how hollow
A feeling which I had
But did not fight
Fight not because I was scared
But because you can’t keep
A butterfly contained to it’s cocoon
It grows as people doth
My only question,
Was she a butterfly or a moth?
