I'd like to say that I am brave.
Don't take easily to fright.
I'll do any dare.
And I'm not afraid of things
that go bump in the night.

But there is one fear that rises
high above the rest.
Not deadly,
Not scary
But more painful
than a bullet to the chest.

I'm scared of all the things they say
When I turn my back.
The things they say
can be so mean
even if it's just
a joke they crack.

So watch what you say
and watch what you hear.
'Cause though it's funny now,
it won't see so hilarious
when you're the one
living in fear.
