Braveheart

I looked for the signs
of someone gentle, sweet and kind
to be mine.

I searched for a heart
that was as broken as mine,
a heart brave enough to
love my pain away and
never depart.

Love found me,
a beautiful smile he wore,
with blue eyes he implore,
he would love and protect me
with all his might,
until the slight.

A White cannot love a Black,
'It is forbidden', his Ex mentions, so good ridden
Clarity dawned and
love was gone.

To protect that which you love
with all your might,
you had to reject me
and sequester your life to purgatory

For our love is lost
if you pursued me, she would end me
and the cost you paid
is what makes our lovestory,
a happily-ever-after.
