Breathtaking Brides

By Hannah

somehow, it feels like an old memory,
faded but vibrant with feeling.

i am wearing a white dress,
it's beauty in its subtleness,
paired with the boldness of the black
in the wings of my eyeliner.

my heart beats with each step she takes.
breathing loses its simplicity.

entranced by her beauty,
i lose my sense of reality.
tear drops slip from the corner of my eye,
for i cannot believe this love is mine.

poetry spills from my lips,
only to be stopped by her kiss.
