Breezes

We are all a leaf on the wind,
Never looking to where we begin,
Just searching for the end.
We are all a leaf on the wind.

I sometimes look up at the stars,
Like lightning bugs in a jar,
Always reaching but so far.
I sometimes look up at the stars.

I sinned in the time of love,
On the edge waiting for a shove,
I wear it like a glove.
I sinned in the time of love.

Who are we to be so true,
Knowing what we are to do,
Seeing red and feeling blue.
Who are we to be so true?

In a day and here on after,
We sit perched high on a rafter,
Looking down on what we're after.
In a day and here on after.
