Brick and Mortar Prison

Tired
Bored
Wanting to go home
As soon as walk through the door
Never enough time
Dog ate my stuff
Fail
Pass
Social pressure
Cool
Popular
Gothic
Nerdy
Social out cast
Some place in between
But never one thing
Then again
What exactly is
This place
A brick and mortar cell
Locked in
Taken away from
Basic rights
Freedom of expression
Told to be the same mold
Just to fit in
Long to be outside
Not inside this
This
Brick and mortar prison
Where they
Stifle creativity
Snuff out thinking for ourselves
Make us into one group
Or another
Tell us we will never make it
Stripped of
Our humanity
Our own thoughts
Our basic freedom
In this place
I silently scream
From the
Piles of make work
Screaming adults
Demanding people
War yard
Fakers of makers
And plain emotional ride
And yet
They call this place
This terrible place
School
(dun dun DUN)
