Bridges

Many bridges I have crossed, many I have burned. Quietly I sit pondering, lessons I have learned. Realization comes to mind, of things that I have lost, Inside burning embers, nearly every bridge Iv crossed. Have left behind the bad, believing that I should. Along with all the bad, must have been some good. Must retrieve these valuable memories, some stories may be tall. For if I leave them banished, Iv lived no life at all. I will relax tonight, and recite the serenity prayer, rebuild bridges I have burned with very special care. I must remember well, these lessons I will learn, When all is paid in full, happiness I may earn.
